Introduction.

 

§ 1. The Persian Language is written from right
to left. Its Alphabet consists of the 28 Arabic letters
with the addition of four others required to express
sounds (P, ch, 2', 9) not recognised in Classical Arabic,
— in all 32. These with the Transcription of each
